Said Souikane has been involved with volleyball since the age of 11. He has
played on the Moroccan National Team and medaled in the African Volleyball Championships
in 1990(bronze), 1991(silver) and 1993(bronze). Souikane has competed in the Association
of
Volleyball Professionals (AVP) Tour since 1998. In 2001, he participated in the Francophone
Games in Ottawa, Canada. Said joined the Proseries International Beach Tour in 2007. He
placed 2nd in Sicily, Italy and Lugano, Switzerland and 3rd in Marina di Ravenna, Italy. Souikane
has coached high school, college, club and AVP players for more than eight years.
Most recently,
he has coached at Coast Volleyball Club. His passion for volleyball and coaching
is unparalleled
and Souikane’s dedication to his players is evident in his coaching style and
philosophy.

Karolyn Kirby has been a college All-American and member of the U.S. National Team.
It is as a Professional Beach Volleyball player where she is remembered as “the most dominant”
player on the pro -circuit both domestically and internationally. Kirby won a gold medal on the
beach in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, the first time beach volleyball was played as
an Olympic sport. Since her retirement as a professional player she has dedicated herself
to coaching: Assistant Coast NCAA Division 1 (2 years); Head Coach Team Bulgaria (Beach
Sydney 2000); Head Coach Elite Teams Coast Volleyball Club (7 years); and FIVB and AVP
Teams (10 years). Kirby has a wealth of knowledge she is passing onto a new generation
of volleyball players.
